Yoga Classes

Free Yoga Class 20 March 4 pm

The session combines physical postures (asanas) to build greater flexibility, agility, balance and strength along with breathwork (pranayama) and mindfulness to reduce stress, lower blood pressure, improve sleep, and enhance mental clarity by calming the nervous system and supporting brain health.

TEACHER

The classes will be taught by Peter Eland (Yoga Australia Registered Teacher Level 2).

Peter has over 15 years of teaching experience.

Y4HA – For older adults 50+ years
  • Y4HA sequences emphasize gentle, supported poses with many options using props to safely improve balance, joint mobility, and fall prevention, making it ideal for seniors who may have reduced flexibility or age-related limitations.
  • Y4HA prioritizes low-impact movements and yoga poses to build strength and stability while minimizing strain on joints, helping older practitioners maintain independence and manage conditions like arthritis or osteoporosis.
  • Y4HA includes breathing techniques and relaxation practices tailored to reduce stress, enhance mental clarity, and support healthy ageing in those over 50 or with mobility concerns.

Bring Yoga mat, two blocks and a towel please.
